Testimonial from Nancy Eichten -
Educator
The Adventurers is a great group that offers a variety of different activities throughout the month. As a new teacher here in Vegas, I wanted to meet new people with the same interests as me and not just go to a club or a bar all the time. This club offers a variety of people with different backgrounds but with similar interests in having a great time and trying something new to them. It's so easy to get stuck in a rut at work or in life so another great thing about the club is that the events are planned with all the details figured out and all you have to do is SHOW UP! I've met some life long friends through the club and plan to meet many more!

Recreation Coordinator
I have been a member for 6 months and I do not regret it one bit! I was looking, like everyone else who is a member, for some way to meet new people and make some friends who share the same interests as me. I have always been shy about doing things by myself, much less try new things by myself. After meeting with Jeff I took a big leap for me and joined. I couldn't have made a better decision! I have attended many events and each time everyone has been welcoming, friendly, and I have always had a great time! I hope that the longer I am a member and the more events I attend I will not only have a network of great friends, but will have experienced many things that I may never have before or have been to afraid to on my own. Thank you, Jeff, for offering such a great club with such great people!
Testimonial from Al Berg
Starting
my sixth year living in Las Vegas, I needed a change from the part-time employment,
volunteering and only associating with members from my church. Not knowing
how to approach this change, a bowling teammate one night told me about the
Adventurers. Come on down to TGIF restaurant on Friday night and see what
you think about this group, she told me. I did just this and was amazed at
the individuals who were introduced to me. It is odd, but true, meeting people
in Las Vegas is very difficult, but that night was a wonderful experience.
The individuals I met were real, honest, caring, but most of all, liked to
converse, making you feel welcome to be in their presence.
Jeff has a beautiful idea, in
starting this organization, which is very definitely needed in this city.
Participating in several events and talking to many long time members, convinced
me to join, become a volunteer within the group and help the Adventurers to
grow.
Testimonial from Deanne Evans
I looked into the Adventurers hoping to find things to occupy my mind and
time. I had recently lost my circle of friends and was having a rough time
of it. One of my girl friends moved to be with her family, one had a stroke
and was mad at the world, and last but not least, my best friend had recently
passed away from breast cancer.
The first event I attended was the
Welcome Mixer, and that it was. Everyone there was wonderful and greeted me
with open arms. The next night I went to the Happy Hour, and met a whole new
group of people. This was just what I had been looking for. I had only been
to the Mixer and 2 Happy Hours when the flood had hit my neighborhood last
summer. I was not allowed near my home until the water subsided, so I waited
and waited.
When I finally arrived home, I was
moved beyond words. Two people from the group had been calling to find out
if I was ok, if I needed a place to stay, or if I needed their help in any
way. I was amazed at the generosity they showed, especially since they hardly
knew me. As time has passed, I see that this is the kind of people that are
involved in the Adventurers. However, now that the rain has dried, I also
see that these guys are a lot of fun. The activities that are offered every
month are great. I am one of those people that likes the outdoors, and they
offer plenty of activities to choose from.
